Harry Redknapp's wife Sandra seriously injured in freak car accident

The wife of England football personality Harry Redknapp is in hospital after he accidently ran over her in his car, according to British reports.
The Sun newspaper led the reports on the freak accident in Bournemouth that left Sandra Redknapp bleeding with an injured foot after being dragged along the road.
Onlookers said Redknapp was dropping his wife at the shops but her coat got caught in the car door and her foot was still inside the Range Rover when it pulled away.
A witness told The Sun: "I was in a shop and a couple of people came in and said, 'Crikey, there's a lady who's been dragged along the road'.

He may be a bit of a boy-racer, and to be fair he has managed to almost decapitate his wife, but let's be honest, he hasn't exactly pulled up any trees.

So he drove off and went over her ankle even though she was behind the car.
And her coat and foot were trapped in the door and she was dragged down the road.
Her legs would have to be about 20 foot long for this to occur

Speaking to the BBC, the former Bournemouth, West Ham and Portsmouth boss said: "It was just a freak accident you know. "Sandra went across the road and unfortunately she had gone behind the car to cross over the road and as I went to drive off I drove over her ankle.
"Its lucky, if the full weight of the car had gone over the ankle god knows what would have happened to her. We're ok.
"She had an operation on her ankle that went well."
The couple returned home 24 hours after the accident took place and Mrs Redknapp was pictured walking on crutches with her right leg in a cast."
Huh. How do you run over someone's ankle by driving off if they are standing behind the car waiting to cross the road unless you reverse backwards?!!! Plus assuming Harry pulled over on the left side of the road then if she passed by the back of his car her right ankle would be furthest away. Weird.
Mind you Brian Harvey managed to run himself over so probably not so weird!!

I've just heard it's all been a mix up. It's Sandro the footballer who's foot Harry ran over.
Meanwhile WBA have opened an investigation as to which idiot signed Sandra on a season long loan.

Shes been released from hospital. He was said to be feeling "very low" about the incident.
She apparently fell in to the bus lane and Harry said " it could have been a lot worse if a bus had been coming"
In all seriousness it could have been a lot worse but still not sure how you catch your coat and leave your leg in the footwell.
Should keep him and his shot opinions of BT sport for a while. "So every cloud....."

This sounds as dodgy as Rosie's slush fund. What has her clothes being caught in the door got to do with anything if her foot was still in the car? Unless the foot was severed clean off and then her dress caught.
The easiest thing to imagine that explains it is a pissed off husband dropping off his wife and aggresively pulling away before she had chance to get all the way out the car, and then coming up with a tall story to make him seem less of a cunt.
